A timeless tribute to the legendary May Rose of Grasse, Fragonard Rose de Mai is a delicate yet radiant floral fragrance that captures the feeling of walking through a blooming French rose garden at sunrise. Soft rose petals are layered with powdery violet, creamy gardenia, jasmine, and airy lily of the valley, while blackcurrant leaves add a fresh green touch that keeps the fragrance natural and luminous.
Top Notes: Rose Absolute, Gardenia, Violet
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Ylang-Ylang
Base Notes: Blackcurrant Leaves
Smells like: a fresh dewy French rose bouquet with soft green stems and delicate powdery florals. Feminine, romantic, and effortlessly elegant — more natural and airy than heavy jammy rose perfumes. It has a classic Grasse perfumery feel with a clean vintage charm.
Fragonard has also announced that the original Rose de Mai formula is being discontinued with a new version launching in 2026, making the current edition especially collectible and hard to find.
